Our Process

Our initial consultation is an opportunity to hear your aspirations for your garden. This gives me the opportunity to understand what you want from your garden and how you want it to interact with the surrounding environment. Based on your requirements, I will then develop a client brief that will inform the outline design.

A topographical survey can either be completed by either your choice of surveyor or we can instruct a surveyor on your behalf. I will then analyse the site and take soil samples.

I will develop an outline design of the site based on our initial meeting and brief which we can then discuss and adjust as necessary. This will include a scaled site plan, elevations, 3D perspectives and a plant and materials reference board.

Once the outline design has been agreed, I will incorporate additional details (including planting plans) to bring the design to life. My CAD drawings will be developed to be shared with landscape contractors to invite their tender.

Subject to any preference you have to deal with specific landscape contractors, upon completion of the detailed plans I will send these to three recommended landscape contractors inviting them to tender for the project. The quotes will then be discussed with you.

During the construction stage I will work closely with the landscape contractors ensuring that the garden is built to the design.

Once plant choices are confirmed, arranging planting schedules and obtaining quotes from selected nurseries.

Upon completion of the project, we can agree on the required level of aftercare to ensure that the garden has the appropriate maintenance regime. A maintenance plan can be provided.
